DreamHill International School

Sports at DreamHill International School (DHIS):

DHIS sports program aims at nurturing character through developing accountability, ownership, integrity, and honour. We realise the huge impact that physical education can play in a child’s life and are delighted to inspire and motivate children appropriately.

In the Early Years, physical activity plays a vital part in the development of a child. The children focus on developing basic movement skills with participation and enjoyment being the key. The children are taught the basics of movement using a variety of skills through fun, inclusive, and active games.

The emphasis is placed on the ABCs (Agility, Balance, Co-ordination, and Speed) as children progress through Primary School. Children are exposed to a huge variety of sport activities, which help them to develop a selection of different skills with fitness for life being a focus in every topic.

As we start our first academic year in 2016, sports events and competitions against other schools will be determined by the number of students. Most of the sports programs will be based around the four seasons. Teams will practice multiple times per week, play scrimmages, and target major season-ending tournaments generally hosted at DHIS.

It is therefore our vision to take part in competitions against other schools as the school grows in numbers. We believe that every student has the ability to achieve and can find an activity which they enjoy
